Mobile phone manufacturing giant, Sony Mobile Communications on May 24, announced the launch of its new Xperia NXT smartphones, Xperia U and P and the Xperia Sola in the Indian market. The smartphones were launched in an event in Bangalore and Kolkata.

P Balaji, the managing director of Sony Mobile Communications at the press meet said, “The Xperia phones are made up of imagination that means what you believe you can make it happening.” Balaji added that after the Xperia S, the new smartphones will appeal to the Indian consumers.

The MD also said that every Xperia smartphone comes with a distinct user experience along with a set of features which are available at different price points, so that the consumers have more choice to choose from. Balaji also assured that the Xperia Sony smartphones have been designed based on the consumer experiences of Listen, Play, Watch, Create and Share.

The users of the phone can also change the bottom caps of the smartphones or see the illuminating transparent element changing colour to match the colour of the picture or even the theme on the phone screen. The Xperia Sola has been priced at Rs. 22,999 but Infibeam is offering discounts worth Rs. 3,000 and is now available for Rs. 19,999.
