South Korean giant Samsung has launched its Galaxy Ace Duos, GSM only version on May 25 2012 for the Indian market. It is a dual SIM Android smartphone, while the GSM + CDMA version of the smartphone is already on sale in the market at the price of Rs. 13,490.
The company said that the Galaxy Ace Duos will be available from next month; beginning in Russia and then will be gradually rolled out in Europe, CIS, Latin America South East and South west Asia, Middle East, Africa and China. The only disappointing part is that it runs on the old Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
The new Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos has been built on the success of the original Galaxy Ace and is powered by a processor of 832 MHz processor, 512 MB RAM and 3.5 inch HVGA display. The smartphone is also pre-loaded with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI along with the apps of the company like ChatOn and Social Hub.
Samsung has also claimed that the new Ace Duos comes with a ‘Dual SIM always On’ feature, which automatically forwards calls from the phone number on SIM 2 to SIM 1 in case if the user is active on SIM 1’s number. The smartphone also has a 5 megapixel camera with auto focus, Bluetooth and other features.
