Mobile phone manufacturing giant Sony has on May 30 announced the launch of two of its Android smartphones for the Xperia series. The company has lined up the new Sony Xperia Go and Xperia Acro S.
The new devices for the Xperia series offer sleek design but the smartphones are specially designed to deal with different challenges without compromising on the design and functionality. The specifications of the phone are rugged yet it does not compromise with the beautiful design and has extra durability plus water resistant.
Both the smartphones have scratch resistant mineral glass display and meets the standard IP ratings (International Protection) to fight dust and also the effects of water immersions as well. The Xperia Go has a 3.5 inch reality display, 5 mega pixel camera, 1 GHz dual core processor and runs on 2.3 Android OS that can be upgraded to 4.0.
The Xperia Acros S is the first smartphone by Sony to have Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich . The device has a 4.3 inch screen, 12 Mega pixel camera, has full HD recording, 1.5 GHz dual core processor and HDMI TV connectivity. The smartphones are expected to be unveiled by the third quarter this year worldwide.
