Computer chip making giant, Intel in partnership with Indian phone maker Lava has launched its first smartphone Xolo X900 in India. The partnership between Intel and Lava was announced at the Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona in the month of February 2012.

The new smartphone by Lava and Intel has been powered by Intel’s Atom Z2460. The smaertphone has been priced at Rs. 22,000 for the Indian market and the Indian mobile maker has also partnered with Croma as preferred retail partner for the promotion as well as sale of the product.

The new Xolo X900 has a 1.6 GHz Atom processor with Hyper Threading technology. some of the other features of the phone include, a 4.3 inch high resolution LCD display with 1024 X 600 resolution, 8 mega pixel camera with flash which can click up to ten pictures in less than a second, 1.3 mega pixel front camera, 10 fps burst mode and 1080p video recording.

The smartphone runs on Android 2.3 which can be upgradable to Android 4.0 operating system, 16 GB storage space, HSPA and connectivity up to 21 Mbps, HDMI out and built in NFC technology. Overall it is a good smartphone that provides value for money.
