More competitors are currently are entering the market with devices running on the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The latest one to enter the market is Wicked Leak, who have introduced their Wammy 7 tablet for the Indian market.
With the introduction of the new tablet, it aims to give a tough competition to the already existing Aakash tablet. The new Wammy 7 is a seven inch tablet PC and the makers claim that it is the most powerful tablet available for the students and professionals.
A company spokes person while talking at the launch of the tablet said, “Even though the Indian media tablets market witnessed high decibel launches by the world’s leading vendors, the Tablet PC market in India is a niche market that is quickly picking up the pace with respect to adoption.” The features of the Wammy 7 include 7 inch capacitive , 5 point touch screen, USB port 2.0 for 3G dongles, HDMI, 3.5 mm audio out and micro SD slot for storage.
The new tablet can be ordered from the official website of the company and is prices at Rs. 5,249. Initially, it will be launched at schools, professional institutes and corporate houses. The tablet has been powered by 1.2 Ghz ARM Cortex A10 All Winner Processor with 512 MB RAM.
