Indian computer peripherals manufacturer iBall has extended its Slide tablet range with the launch of its new Slide 3G 7303. The new Slide has the same design like that of the earlier versions.
The only drawback is that the device runs on the old Android 2.3 Gingerbread instead of the latest 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS). It was only last month that the Gingerbread enabled Slide i7218 was launched by the company which was soon supposed to get the ICS update.
Till now no reason has been quoted by the company about why they are not adopting the new ICS operating system for their devices. The new Slide 3G 7303 has been priced at Rs. 16,499, while the best buy price ranges from Rs. 15,499 to Rs. 15,990.
The device has been powered by a 1 GHz processor and supports 8 GB storage which can be expandable up to 32 GB and can also play 1080 HD videos. The highlight of the new Slide device is its 3G capability and the earlier version of the Slide came with support for 3G dongle. The Slide G 7303 has a 7 inch capacitive display and comes pre-loaded with apps like Facebook and Skype. The device is also capable of multi tasking device.
