Asia Bizz: Taiwanese manufacturer BenQ launched two new educational projectors – LX60ST and LW61ST – for the Indian market. The company claims that the projectors are the world’s first short throw laser projector which incorporated BenQ’s mercury free Bluecore light engine. This helps in delivering better energy efficiency, performance as well as instant readiness.

The connectivity features include Apple iPhone/iPAd wireless display support.

Rajeev Singh, the country head and General manager of BenQ India while talking at the launch said, “BenQ India is leader in the Short Throw projector category with 30.99% market share, by adding Blue Core engine projector we are one big step closer to fulfilling our endeavor of providing the best to education industry”.

Some of the major features of the projectors include an average of 20,000 hours of reliable brightness in Eco mode, instant on/off capability, which helps in saving time in the warming up and cooling down, 80,000:1 ultra high contrast ratio for excellent images and crisp clear content.

The other features of the new projectors include manual brightness level adjustment to suit different surroundings, mercury-free light source which is more environmental friendly and safe.

The BenQLX60ST is available for Rs. 1,45,000, and the LW61St is available for Rs. 1,50,000.
