Laptop manufacturing giant, Dell has on June 26, 2012 announced the launch of its XPS 14 from its XPS line up for the Indian market. The new laptop by Dell has been powered by Intel’s third generation Core i5 processor with an optional upgrade available up to Core i7.

The new XPS 14 has been priced at Rs. 82,990 for the basic configuration and is not available in the stores. The laptop has been specifically designed for those on the go as it features machined aluminium chassis with silicon base in a thin 0.07 cm design.

The other features of the XPS 14 include 14 inch 400 nit HD+ display with 1600 X 900 p resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass, optional performance graphics and a backlit keyboard. Dell claims that the laptop has the ability to deliver up to ten hours of battery life and a host of connectivity options ranging from USB 3.0, HDMI, Wi Fi, mini Display Port ad Bluetooth 4.0.

Mahesh Bhalla the executive director and general manager consumer and SB of Dell India said, “The XPS 14 laptop offers powerful performance, thoughtful design and a superb user experience, along with enterprise friendly features so you can use them for work and for play”. The XPS 14 also comes with a 1.3 mega pixel camera, chiclet keyboard which is spill resistant.
