All the vehicles in the state of Haryana will soon be equipped with high security registration plates (HSRP). The head of the state transport department confirmed the development and said that the registration plates would be affixed on the vehicles at the offices of the registration authority.

The official said, “For this, the state government has authorized New Delhi based agency—Link Utsav Registration Plate Private Limited”. The state’s plan has mentioned that the vehicle owners have to take the authorization slip from office of the concerned authority.

The owners then has to deposit the cost of registration plate to the said agency. Within four days the agency would affix the registration plate on the vehicle. If the agency fails to fix the registration plate, then it would return ₹50 per day for one week and after that ₹75 per day as a discount to the vehicle owner. The rule was launched last month in the state as a soft launch, but it will be made compulsory in all districts of the state by the end of this month.
