Asia Bizz: Chinese-based global information and communications technology solutions provider Huawei on July 5, 2012 launched the world’s first plug and data link card known as the HiLink E303C for the Indian market. The new HiLink E303C has been powered by a number of patented technologies which automatically connects the users to the internet.

The powerful device takes as little as 15 seconds to connect to the internet after it is inserted to the USB port and does not need any tedious dial-in process, driver installation or manual configuration. The new device is said to be 75% faster than the other products available in the market.

The HiLink E303C is the first EDGE/GPRS/GSM compatible product and is a part of the Huawei HiLink series which supports HSPA+network with 7.2 Mbps Downlink. The device will be available in India from July 2012 onwards in the telecom and PC stores and online channels.

Victor Shanxin, the president of Huawei Device India said, “Huawei is committed to providing Indian consumers with products that feature ease of use and optimal user experience. With customers at the heart of our strategy, we have been at the forefront of datacard development with industry leading technologies and product form factors.” It was also revealed that the device is a result of dedicated research and development of more than a year.

The device has been priced at ₹2,199.
