Indian mobile phone manufacturer, Micromax Informatics Limited has launched its A80 Infinity smartphone for the Indian market. The smartphone is the latest addition to the company’s Superfone series.

Micromax says that the A80 Infinity boasts a powerful and long lasting battery which delivers a talk time of seven hours and a stand by time of up to 12 days. It can be noted that the company in the year 2008 had launched a new sub-category of phones with powerful and long lasting battery.

With the new A80, the company is trying to re-create the same magic in its Superfone portfolio. The new smartphone has been specifically designed for the users who complain of running out of battery due to heavy usage.

Some of the features of the A80 include a 9,525 cm full touch screen and runs on Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread. The device is powered by an 800MHz processor which is one of the reasons the phone has an extended battery life. The phone is equipped with a 2500 mAh Li-ion battery. The A8- also features 5 mega pixel camera with LED flash, while the connectivity options include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The device also has a 0.3 mega pixel front facing camera and supports micro SD cards which can be expandable up to 32 GB.
