Popular luxury car maker, BMW India has rolled out its 25,000th car from its plant in Chennai on July 10, 2012. The company released a press note about the latest development.

Juergen Eder, the Managing Director of BMW in the press release said, “It has taken us less than six years to achieve this milestone and I would like to congratulate the team at BMW Plant Chennai for contributing to the continuous growth in production with highest quality standards.” The company has registered retail sales of 4,457 cars in the year 2012.

In the year 2011, the company has delivered 9,371 cars to the customers, due to which BMW India has achieved leadership position in the luxury car segment in India for the third consecutive year. The country head quarters is located in Gurgaon in the National Capital Region.

Till now the company has invested Rs. 180 crores in India and the Chennai plant produces the BMW3 Series, the BMW 5 Series and BMW X1 in petrol and diesel variants. The new BMW X3 is produced in diesel variants. The company also has a warehouse in Mumbai and major dealerships across the country. I the past six years, BMW has managed to gain momentum along the road to success.
