Veteran wrestler and actor Dara Singh on July 12, 2012 passed away at his residence in Juhu, Mumbai after a brief illness. The former wrestler was 84 years old and was being treated by the doctors at the hospital before he was brought back home on Wednesday.
Ram Narain the COO of Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital said, “Dara Singh passed away peacefully at 7.30am this (Thursday) morning”. After the death of Singh, the song of the actor Vindu Dara Singh Tweeted, “Angel now gone to shine like a star up above”.
Singh was undergoing dialysis at the hospital and the family had wished that he remains at home in the last stages of his life. The actor is survived by his wife and six children, which include three sons and three daughters.
One of the son’s of the wrestler Vindu, became a well known name in showbiz. On July 7, 2012 the actor was rushed to the hospital after some cardiac problem by his family members and since then he had been in a critical condition. Two days later the Dara Singh was put on dialysis as his kidneys had stopped functioning. Singh was known for his wrestling powers and had won the title of Rustam-e-Hind.
