Hindustan Motors has on July 11, 2012 launched the upgraded version of its mid-sized sedan ‘Cedia Select 2012’. The new Cedia Select has been priced at Rs. 8.90 lakh ex-showroom price New Delhi.
Hindustan Motor in a statement said that the new mid sized sedan will be available in three colours white speed, rally red and black flash. The vehicle features a seven inch Maymyindia android based carpad which enabled the customers to make calls.
The statement from the company added that the users can also watch television and surf net apart from making calls with video chatting facilities. The Cedia Select 2012 also comes with a tablet PC which can be mounted on the windscreen or at the back of the headrest for the passengers of the rear seat.
The sedan is manufactured at the Thiruvallur facility of the company. The safety features of the mid-sized sedan include day and night rear view mirror, front air bags and child-protection rear lock. At present the company manufacturers Ambassador (1500 and 2000 cc diesel, 1800 cc petrol, CNG and LPG variants) in the passenger car segment. In the light commercial segment, the company manufactures, 1-tonne payload mini truck Winner 1.5 XD plus diesel.
