Mobile phone manufacturing giant Sony had announced the launch of its Xperia Go Android Smartphone in the month of May. But now the smartphone has been officially launched for the Indian market on July 14, 2012 and has been priced at Rs. 18,799.
The Xperia Go features a rugged design, durability and water resistance quality. The smartphone also comes with a sxcratch resistant mineral displays and also meets the industry standard IP (Ingress Protection) rating 67 to fight off dust and effects of water immersion.
The best part about the device is that it can be kept immersed in water for up to ten minutes without damaging the internals of the phone. The Xperia Go also comes with a wet finger tracking system which allows the users to use the phone even under the harsh weather conditions.
The other features of the phone include 3.5 inch reality display with 320 X 480 pixels, up to four point sensitive touch input system. The Xperia Go is also based on Androif Gingerbread but the company has promised the Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade in near future. The smartphone also has 5 mega pixel camera, but does not have a front camera, 1 GHz dual core processor, 512 MB RAM and 8 GB onboard memory for smooth operations.
