Bollywood super star Amitabh Bachchan has been roped in by a Kerala based Kalyan Jewellers on July 16, 2012. The jeweller said that it plans to open 65 new stores by the end of this financial year.
Already the company boasts 35 stores spread across the southern part of the country. Kalyan now intends to step in the states of Maharashtra and Gujarat. For this the company is also planning to invest about Rs. 2 to 3 crores for each new store. TS Kalyanaraman the managing director of Kalyan Jewellers said that they want to play aggressively in the consumer space and become the most preferred jewellery retailer in the country.
