Japan based motor company Honda on July 20, 2012 said that it is recalling more than 320,000 vehicles worldwide due to faulty locks. Due to the faulty locks the vehicle doors could open unexpectedly.

The automaker said that the recall was for the 2012 CR-V sports utility vehicle and 2013 Acura ILX sedan. The majority of the recall is for the CR-V model which is mainly sold in Japan, China, North America and south America. 7,300 Acura models are expected to be recalled from North America. The spokesperson of Honda said that so far no injuries have been reported due to the faulty locks.
