The popular camera manufacturer Canon will soon start selling its first mirror-less cameras from the month of September as the demand shifts away from traditional point and shoot cameras. The new EOS digital camera will begin selling in Japan starting from 79,800 yen with a lens.
The company in a statement said that it will initially produce 100,000 units of the camera per month. The first mirror-less models were introduced by Nikon Corp in the month of October after which Canon became the only camera manufacturer, among the four largest companies. The camera a makers are now busy promoting more high end models as the smartphones with photography capabilities take away the sales of the compact cameras.
