A section of The Great Wall in China’s Hebei province has collapsed after days of constant raining. The local officials said that the repair work is going.
The wall collapsed on August 6, 2012 when strong currents of water from the mountains crushed the Dajingmen section of the Great Wall in Zhangjiakou after days of continuous rain. The experts have cleared the fallen section and have also reinforced other loose sections to prevent further collapses. Cracks have also been spotted on the other parts of the wall near the collapsed section. Meanwhile the cultural relics protection experts are making proposals to repair the damaged areas.
