Chinese diver Chen Ruolin in the preliminaries was a dominant diver of the women’s 10 meter platform heading the field in to the semi-finals at the Olympics on August 8, 2012. The 19 year old diver is bidding for her fourth overall gold medal at the Games 2012.
Chen four years back won the individual and synchronised events as a 15 year old at the Beijing Olympics. She led four of the five rounds and finished 43.35 points clear of her closest rival Pandelela Rinong of Malaysia. Chen said, “I feel it’s all right. Two dives, I feel, were not really under control—the second and the fourth”. She is now bidding for China’s sixth gold diving medal.
