Despite the concerns over the availability of fodder due to the poor monsoon, Mother Dairy on August 5, 2012 said that it will not increase the prices of milk for another one month and would also review the situation in the month of September after assessing all the input costs.

The availability of fodder has hit almost half of the country as it has received scanty rainfall in most of the parts. The states like Maharashtra, Karnataka, Rajasthan and Gujarat have been adversely affected by the poor monsoon situation. The shortage of food has put an upwards pressure on the input costs which might even affect the profit margin of the products.
