The state of Kerala will soon be launching its own airline known as ‘Air Kerala’, which will cater the travellers who travel between the state and the Gulf Corporation Council countries. ET Mohammed Bashir, the Indian Parliamentarian while talking to the Times of Oman said that this is likely to ease the problems of the NRIs travelling between Kerala and the GCC nations.
Bashir said that during the peak seasons they have to shell out huge amounts to purchase air tickets. Due to this the government of Kerala is moving ahead to start its own airline. The company named Air Kerala was registered in India around four years back.
