After plenty of controversy over the content and subject of the Bollywood movie ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, the flick will not be released in Pakistan. The fans of Salman Khan in Pakistan will not be able to watch their favourite hero in action.
Popular film critic Taran Adarsh Tweeted, “Breaking News: No release for #EkThaTiger in Pakistan.” Adarsh added, “#EkThaTiger no release in Pakistan on Eid means loss of minimum 10 to 12 crores.”
‘Ek Tha Tiger’ received a grand opening on the Independence Day on August 15, 2012 and as per the earlier predictions the movie has already garnered Rs. 33 crores in the very first day of its release. The movie thus went ahead of ‘Agneepath’ which had till date had the privilege of being the biggest opener of Bollywood till date.
The Hrithik Roshan Starrer move had garnered Rs. 22 crores on its first day. Salman in the movie ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ plays the role of a secret agent, who falls in love with Katrina Kaif, who plays the role of a ballet dancer. The movie has been directed by Kabir Khan who had earlier said that the movie has to release in Pakistan as he was sure that it would be appreciated for its subject.
