The heat in Japan continued to swelter on August 22, 2012 as the temperatures topped 33 degrees . The information was revealed by the Japan Meteorological Agency’s observation posts across the nation.
Only the places like Kushiro in Hokkaido had temperatures below 30 degrees. The agency at 11 am said that the temperature was 38 degrees in Kumagaya in Saitama Prefecture, 36 degrees in Kyoto, Tottori and Fukushima 35.7 degrees in Ishkawa and 33.5 degrees in Tokyo. On the other hand the Fire and Disaster Management Agency said that more than 33,000 people have been taken to hospital to be treated for heatstroke since July 1.
