Farooq Abdullah the renewable Energy Minister on August 23, 2012 asked the solar energy equipment manufacturers to avoid buying cheap material from China so as to enhance their profits. A workshop was organized on Solar Water Heaters.
The minister at the work shop said that India will have to fight with the oil lobbies to come up strongly in the renewable energy sector. Abdullah urged the minister to provide good quality equipment and services in the sector. The Minister’s remarks have surfaced at a time when the solar industry in India is struggling against the Chinese Manufacturers. The minister also urged the industry to provide post installation services.
