Finnish mobile company Nokia has been directed by the city district consumer forum to pay Rs. 67,000 to one of its customers. The company was directed to pay the amount for selling a defective cell phone and then also failed to repair of refund its price.

Nokia was found guilty by the South II District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum for indulging in unfair trade practice or selling a defective phone and then failing to repair it since September 2007 when it was taken or repairs by Delhi resident and complainant Rohan Arora. The forum had also held Luthra Communications guilty of resorting to unfair trade practice.
