Japan based All Nippon Airlines has invited the passengers to submit designs for the outside of an Aircraft body. The initiative is a part of the celebration of its 60th anniversary.

The ANA was founded in the year 1952 with a fleet of two helicopters and has since then grown in to one of the world’s leading airlines and flying a total of more than 45 million passengers every year. The ANA in order to mark the anniversary is holding a design contest.

The winning design will be painted on the Boeing 767-300 and will fly across the Japan’s skies. The interested contestants can apply between September 1 and Sept 30. All the postal entries must arrive by September 30, 2012.

In terms of eligibility there are no restrictions and even the professional artists can also apply for the contest. The contest is divided in three categories 12 years of age and under, between 13 and 18 years of age and 19 years and above. The applications can be sent through postal or on the competition website on http://ana60thcontest.jp. The winning entry will be selected by the ANA Campaign Office in each category. The winners of the contest will be announced on October 9, 2012. An overall winner of the contest will also be selected with the voting of the ANA passengers and ANA group employees.
