Milk producing giant Mother Dairy on September 7, 2012 announced that it has increased the prices of milk up to Rs. 2 in the Delhi NCR region with effect from September 8, 2012. Full cream milk will be costlier by Rs. 2 per litre while the other variants will be costlier by Re. 1 per litre.
The poly pack of one litre full cream milk will now cost Rs. 39, while the toned milk poly pack will cost Rs. 30 per litre, token milk at Rs. 28 and double toned milk at Rs. 26 and skimmed milk at Rs. 22. Mother Dairy is considered as the largest producer of milk in the Delhi NCR region and sells more than 30 lakh litres per day for both loose and poly pack.
