Japanese consumer electronics giant Sony has announced the launch of its latest offering in the Android smartphone segment. The company has introduced Sony Miro and Sony Tipo which was announced in the month of June.

The Taipo was launched a couple of days back in the Indian market which is slightly more expensive than the Xperia Miro. The Xperia Miro is now available for purchase and has been priced at Rs. 14,499 on the online shopping sites like Snapdeal.com.

The features of the Xperiw Miro include a 3.5 inch display compared to the 3.2 inch of the Tipo. The processor is the same for both the devices with an 800 Mhz Qualcomm MSM7225A processor with 512 MB RAM and a 3 GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 32 GB with the help of a micro SD card.

The device will be powered by the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The phone also has a 5 mega pixel rear camera which can record VGA resolution videos at 30 frames per second. The Miro will also have a VGA front camera for video calling which is missing in Tipo. The devices will be gradually available in four different colour combinations which include black, black/pink, white/silver and white/ gold.
