Global automotive components manufacturer Denso on Sept 11, 2012 announced that it will be constructing a new plant in the Bekasi district of West Java Province in Indonesia. The company said that the new plant will be constructed looking at the growing vehicle production in Indonesia.

The operations of the new plant will begin operations in the month of February 2014 and will be producing engine control products including engine electronic control units and variable cam timing control systems. The plant will also be manufacturing starters, alternators and other devices. Denso has been doing business in Indonesia since the year 1975 and currently produces radiators, automotive air conditioning systems, spark plugs, filters and other products.
