The Apple enthusiasts can nor rejoice as the much awaited iPhone 5 has arrived and was unveiled on September 12, 2012 at the Yerba Buena Centre for the Arts in San Francisco. The new device has been priced at USD 199 for 16 GB, USD 299 for 32 GB version and USD 399 GB for 64 GB version.

Timothy D Cook, the Spple chief executive as he walked on the stage said, “It’s an amazing time at Apple, an extraordinary time”. The new iPhone 5 in deed has a speedier processor and has been powered by the A6 chip which has been designed by Apple.

The new chip by Apple is twice as fast in terms of CPU and graphics. Cook said, “Not only is it a jump forward in performance, it’s 22 percent smaller.” The iPhone 5 also has chips which support additional bands and frequencies and it is capable of delivering up to 100 Mbps per second.

It has also been announced that their new telecom partners would be AT&T, Sprint, Telefonica among others. The new device has 40 percent more colour saturation and can be used by app makers to provide most accurate display in the industry. The analysts have predicted that the sales of the new phone could reach up to 10 million in the first week.
