JAL New Sky Project has been launched by Japan Airlines. The new project is a thorough revamp of its in-flight products and services on international routes under a collective theme “Welcome! JAL New Sky.”

As a part of the initial phase of the project, JAL will introduce a sweeping change to the seat design in every cabin class of 13 of its Boeing 777- 300ER aircraft named JAL Sky Suite 777. The project will be deployed it first on the airline’s Narita – London (Heathrow) route from January 2013 and progressively expanding the new revamp in to other European and North American routes like Narita – New York (John F Kennedy) Service.

Apart from raising the notches one class above for all four cabin services, JAL will also be extending extra amenities and comfort like fitting TOTO washlets in First and Business Class lavatories and also providing innovative airweave mattress pads and pillows on request in business class.

The airline will also be introducing new menus onboard flights to Europe, North America, Australia and South East Asia to create the ambience of an exclusive restaurant in the sky. The new project has been created under the guidance of the frequent traveller and award winning Japanese author and screen writer Kundo Koyama.
