After a long wait, UK based company Datawind has launched four new tablets in its Ubislate series. Datawind has launched its new Ubislate 7Ri, Ubislate 7R+, Ubislate 7Ci and Ubislate 7C+. All the tablets have a 7 inch screen with 800 X 480 pixel resolution and run on Android 4.0.3 while the Ubislate 7Ri and Ubislate 7R have resistant screens.
All the tablets have been powered by Cortex A8 1 GHz processor with 512 RAM. The other features of the tablets include front VGA camera, 4 GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 32 GB with the help of micro SD cards.
The Ubislate 7R+ and 7C are SIM based tablets which can be used for making calls in addition to other features. Both the tablets feature a 3200 mAh battery promising 3 to 4o hours of battery backup.
The company claims that the new tablets are lighter in weight and support features like Internet access and multimedia entertainment. In India the devices will offer unlimited web browsing for under Rs. 100 per month on traditional mobile networks but no additional details on the operators have been provided. The individual pricing of the devices are now revealed but are expected to be priced between Rs. 2,999 and Rs. 4, 499.
