Apple already reached a mark by selling 2 million iPhones in the first 24 hours. But now it seems like the company is continuing to be overwhelmed by the demand for the smartphone. The demand has been so overwhelming that Apple has having trouble to keep up to the shipping estimates.
The shipping estimates for pre-orders have been increased to three to four weeks. There were even reports that the company had stopped taking pre-orders for a brief time on Saturday. The Apple’s online store has indicated that the phones purchased might not be delivered for four weeks. The new iPhone 5 is proving to be a hit among the reviewers and the majority of the orders are expected to be fulfilled on September 21, 2012.
