On September 26, 2012 the All Nippon Airways announced that 40,000 seat reservations were cancelled on its Japan-China flights. The flights have been cancelled for three months till the month of November till the territorial issue between the two countries is not solved.
All the cancelled seats were booked for group tours. Of them some 12,000 were for the flights to China while the rest of them were to Japan. On the other hand the Japan Airlines on September 24, 2012 said that about 15,500 seats were reserved for the group tours, have been cancelled on the Japan-China route for three months till the month of November.
