AsiaBizz.com: The Customs of Hong Kong announced on October 3, 2012 that it seized 6.3 kilograms of cocaine. The seized cocaine is estimated to be worth 6.75 million HK dollars and a 25-year-old man was arrested at the Hong Kong International Airport on October 2, 2012 in connection with the illegal drugs.
The man who was arrested had reportedly arrived from Brazil and was stopped for examination of his luggage, while in transit to Zhuhai by ferry. The officials said that the drugs were found in the false compartment of his suitcase.
The man will now be charged with trafficking in a dangerous drug and will appear at Tsuen Wan Magistrate’s Courts in the morning.
