AsiaBizz.com: Indian auto giant Maruti Suzuki made an announcement on October 3, 2012 that it has hiked the prices of its models by up to Rs. 5,250, with immediate effect. The company cited the fluctuation of foreign exchange and the increase in input costs as the reason for the hike.
A spokesperson from the company said, “The average hike in the price across models is around 1 per cent and the range will be between Rs 2,500 and Rs 5,250”. The spokesperson added that the price hike will take place with immediate effect.
