The Japan Meteorological Agency on October 4, 2012 said that a strong typhoon was taking off the North eastern Pacific coast of Japan. The agency said that Typhoon Maliksi had winds as strong as 126 kilometers per hour and was in the Pacific Ocean which is east of Tokyo at 4 pm.
The agency also informed that the typhoon is not expected to hit the Japanese archipelago directly but forecast says that it would move along the northeastern Pacific coast. It has also been warned by the agency that high waves of about six meters on the coasts of Japan’s northeast coast which was once hit by the massive tsunami.
