The China Dairy Industry Association on October 12, 2012 said that the infant formula milk tested in the month of September for various brands, have have all returned safe results. The baby milk brands which were tested included Yili, Mengniu, Bright and Nestle.
The baby products were tested within the last month in five provinces and municipalities across the country, including Tianjin, Beijing and Shanxi. The China Dairy Association conducted the tests in conjunction with the Inspection Centre of the National Food and Safety Supervision establishment. The results have shown that the products were in line with national standards and reached the qualified rate of 100 percent.
After the recent baby milk scandals, the Chinese population has become more wary and concerned with how baby products are manufactured and tested.
