On October 13, 2012 ‘India Against Corruption’ activist Arvind Kejriwal demanded the arrest of law minister Salman Khurshid. Kejriwal had requested that Khurshid be dismissed by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, over allegations of misusing funds which were meant for providing aid to the disabled through an NGO that Khurshid ran.
Arvind was seen approaching the Prime Minister’s residence in New Delhi but was stopped by police. The IAC activist had launched a massive protest in Delhi on October 12, 2012, after which he was arrested and detained along with 150 others at a stadium in Bawana, which is on the outskirts of Delhi.
