After an increased number of crimes, the residents of Nakano Ward in Tokyo have started night patrols this week. The night patrols began in an attempt to raise awareness about crimes in the area, and to take steps to curb it.
With the rapid increase of crime rates in the area, local residents have started to feel insecure and uneasy. The residents teamed up with local police officers on October 18, 2012, and carried out patrols of the streets throughout the night.
