Global chemical and specialty materials company Tosoh, will soon begin the production of a new industrial cleaning solvent. The new solvent has been developed by the company independently, at its Nanyo complex in Shunan, Yamaguchi Prefecture.
The new HA-IS16 is an environmentally friendly, non-inflammable and non-halogen cleaning solvent which has superior drying, recovery and safety properties. The company has also decided to end the sales of its NFS series which is bromine based. The industry is now looking forward to replacements of solvents which are environmentally friendly substitutes. The NFS series sales will be stopped on December 31, 2013. Meanwhile, the company will continue to shift focus towards environmentally friendly products, according to our sources.
