US tech giant Apple’s iPad Mini made a low key debut in Asia on November 2, 2012 . The latest device from Apple will face stiff competition in the Asian market against rivals like Amazon, Samsung and Google. In Tokyo more than 300 people were seen queued up outside Apple’s flagship store.
Some people were also seen in fancy dress, while they waited to get their hands on a device. Though the device might be a smaller version of the iPad, the company insists that it is more than just a shrunken version of the tablet. According to our sources, at least 20 people spent the night outside the store in the Ginza area. More than three dozen markets in Asia and Europe were due to see launches of the Wi-Fi version of the device on November 2, 2012.
