Mobile manufacturer Zen Mobiles has launched a dual-SIM smartphone known as the Ultraphone U1 for the Indian market. The smartphone is priced at Rs 4,999 and runs on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform and has a 3.5 inch HVGA display.
The other features of the phone include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a 3.2 mega pixel camera, however it does not have a front camera. The device comes with 512 MB of built-in storage which is expandable up to 32 GB through a micro SD card and is powered by a 1 GHz processor, along with a 1,200 mAh battery.
The new phone comes pre-loaded with many standard smartphone apps such as Facebook, Skype, G-Talk, MapMyIndia, nextGTV, WhatsApp and Ganesha Speaks. Deepesh Gupta, the managing director of Zen Mobiles, said at the launch of the Ultraphone U1, “We at Zen Mobiles aim to deliver consumer friendly products with latest innovations in place. With our Zen Ultraphone U1, we have kept our commitment to the rapidly evolving smartphone market of the country, by bringing them top-of-the-line product innovations.”
Gupta added that the Ultraphone U1 one of the company’s top innovations. The device has been placed in the category of phones under Rs. 5,000; a category which is also populated with other devices like the iBall Andi 107, Karbonn A5,the Micromax Superfone a45 and many more.
