American global courier service company FedEx will face the busiest day in the company's history next month. On December 10, 2012, the company is expected to ship more than 19 million packages. This number is ten percent more than what FedEx shipped on its busiest day last year.

The number of packages will also be more than double the volume it handles on an average day. FedEx has predicted that online shopping and people mailing holiday packages will bring more than $280 million shipments through the company in the next month. In order to handle the extra volume, the company has added 20,000 seasonal positions to help make the deliveries.
