American airline company US Airways, Inc., of the US Airways Group, has reportedly launched a new nonstop service between Philadelphia and Halifax, Nova Scotia, and a seasonal service to Anchorage, Alaska.
The Anchorage flights will operate through the summer, whereas the Halifax flights will operate the whole year-round.
UK Today News states: “The new US Airways flights will depart from Halifax for Philadelphia three times. The Anchorage flights will depart only be once a day from June 2, 2010.
US Airways have also stated that the new service will be operated with an US Airways Boeing 757 aircraft which has a capacity of 164 seats in the main cabin, whereas First Class will have 12 seats.”
Premier Darrell Dexter told reporters: “The economy is getting better in general. Our corporate bookings are up about 30 per cent over this time last year, so we’re pretty happy with the way things are going.”
