After the formation and launch of the new Aam Admi Party by Arvind Kejriwal, Bollywood actor Anupam Kher says that the activist must first prove himself before he criticizes others. The actor said during a function at the Ujjain Press Club that the time for Kejriwal to oppose others is over for now.
The Indian actor had earlier participated in Anna Hazare’s campaign against corruption. Kher said that he had no intention of returning to politics, but said, “Kejriwal should now perform and prove himself”.
Kejriwal alleged recently that there was an illicit connection between realty firm DLF and Robert Vadra. Vadra is the son-in-law of Congress President Sonia Gandhi. The activist had also demanded the resignation and arrest of Union Minister Salman Khurshid, over allegations of financial irregularities in the functioning of the trust which is run by Khurshid’s wife.
Allegations of corruption were also made by Kejriwal against BJP president Nitin Gadkari. Apart from pointing a finger at Arvind for his acts, Kher also said that he did not agree with Baba Ramdev’s view on the 26/11 Mumbai Terror attacks. Ramdev had said that Pakistani terrorist Ajmal Kasab should have been hung in public. The Bollywood actor explained that the issue is pertaining to law and the authorities took suitable measures in accordance to the country's legal constitution.
