Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone for a long time has wanted to work with Hong Kong-based martial arts super star Jackie Chan. Stallone had earlier offered Chan the opportunity to play the role of ‘Simon Phoenix’ in his 1993 movie ‘Demolition Man’, but Chan had turned down the role.
According to reports at the time, the actor did not want to damage his heroic image by playing a bad guy. However, once again Stallone has offered the ‘Legend of the Drunken Master’ star a role and this time Jackie has said yes to the flick. Chan said during a press conference in Kuala Lumpur, “Sly had invited me to be in Expendables 2”.
The ‘Rush Hour’ actor added that he was too busy filming for his movie Chinese Zodiac and could not commit to other films earlier. Chan also said that Sylvester has once again extended his offer for a third time, due to which he has agreed, on the condition that the Chinese star be appearing in more than just a minor role with a few scenes.
Chan also gave an update on his upcoming film ‘Rush Hour 4’, which will be produced by Arthur Sarkisian. There are possibilities that the action flick known as ‘Skip Tracer’ would be transformed into ‘Rush Hour 4’, if Chris Tucker signs off on it.
