Asia Bizz: Lithium Deposits Worth More Than $10 Trillion Found In Afghanistan

The Middle East country of Afghanistan, which is known to be facing economic and political instability for over a decade; reportedly holds an estimated reserve of Lithium deposits worth more than $1 Trillion.

The Pentagon has reported that Afghanistan holds a vast amount of Lithium and can also be termed as the ‘Saudi Arabia of Lithium’. Lithium is a mineral that is used frequently in the production of batteries and some medical industries.

Reports also say that US officials have discovered a good amount of Gold, iron and copper in the same area. These findings will further help the country in generating opportunities for jobs as well as to develop the economy of the country. But other reports say that these findings may also help in igniting another war in the region between the Taliban and the local government.
