Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh said that he could not wait to have another crack at Australia in the upcoming four-Test series between the two countries. The upcoming interaction would be a comeback for Harbhajan and he would not have wished for a better way to mark his 100th Test .
Singh was once regarded as a national hero after demolishing Australia in their 2001 tour of India. Now, local newspapers celebrate the return of the cricketer who is popularly known as ‘Turbanator’. For the first two matches, Harbhajan has been named in the 15-man team which is expected to play in Chennai on February 22, 2013. He is likely to join the spin combination of Ravi Ashwin and Pragyan Ojha.
Singh also has a great record in matches against Australia, with 90 wickets in 16 Tests. Harbhajan on Monday said, “I cannot wait to bowl against my favorite team”. The cricketer also said that he was very happy and is feeling relieved after getting selected.
Harbhajan was earlier not selected for the Fourth Test against England in Nagpur in the month of December 2012. While talking to reporters, the cricketer said that the game was very important for him and it was tough for him to not be a part of the national squad.
